FORGIVENESS IS VITAL
FORGIVESNESS WHY IS IT IMPORTANT
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FORGIVE??
The Bible clearly shows no one benefits more from the act of forgiving than the one who is willing to forgive. Therefore the greatest benefactors when we forgive others is ourselves. There is a great amount of stress and strain associated with unforgiveness. The Bible stresses the importance of our forgiving others of the wrongs they have done to us. UNFORGIVENESS is a state of mind which does not stand alone. It breeds other fruit such as bitterness and hatred. When we harbor ill feelings and bitterness toward those who have offended us, this can lead to a negative spiritual trap of which there is no escape. No matter how spiritual we seem to be, we can go no further in Christ, than our willingness to forgive others, allows us to go. (COMPARE BELOW CLICK ON TAB WHICH SAYS NEXT TO SEE NEXT IMAGE).

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO TRULY FORGIVE OTHERS?
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO TRULY BE SORRY & REPENT?

 | God is well aware of the types of fruit unforgiveness brings forth in the hearts of men who refuse to forgive, he therefore tells us what steps to take to avoid walking in a spirit of unforgiveness. No matter what life throws at us, we must be careful to not become bitter in three crictical areas, 1. Toward God, 2. Toward others and 3. Toward ourselves. While it's true a person does not always have to appologize or show remorse in order for us to forgive them, in the case of God, God expects more than superficial verbal appologizes if we are to be truly blessed by him. In many cases we may forgive a person, but are not in a position to restore them because of their lack of real remorse for the way they have wronged us. There are many today who apologize for the wrong they have done, but never truly repent for their actions. In regards to both our relationship with God and man, when we are wrong in a matter, we must bring forth the fruits of true repentance, if we are to be fully restored. Obedience to the law of repentance is a must, for all who sincerely desire to be forgiven and restored by both God and man. When the term repentance is used, some of the first things which comes to mind, are actions such as, a verbal apology, a confession of ones wrong doings, and in some cases the shedding of tears. While it's true that these are some of the elements which make up the penitent process, there is more to true repentance than this. |
