Not everyone who is gay fits into any one group or category. Therefore It is disingenuous to place everyone who is gay into one stereotypical setting. Many homosexual whom I have counted as close friends, were warm, friendly and caring. Although I totally disagree with the gay lifestyle, I will never forget or pretend that I don't know my close friends who have lived this lifestyle. Even though we as Christians must totally disagree with homosexuality we must not allow our disagreement to turn into hatred against homosexuals.There are several contributing factors, in regards to why homosexuality is now being given a place of prominence and respect today. It is not that homosexuality has of its own accord risen to a place of widespread acceptance. It has had a large cast of supporters, and is in essence a sign of something more significant than homosexuality itself. It's not all that hard to understand why so many today who are not homosexual are now more accepting of it. First as more and more individuals are coming out of the closet, some are discovering that their favorite entertainer is in this group. Some are finding their own family members are also in this group. It is one thing for those in the public at large to be gay, but when it's our own son or daughter, brother or sister, it is a completely different thing. Then there is the matter of our own narcissistic and hedonistic mindset. As those of us who are not gay become more and more self centered and focused on personal pleasure, the door to self indulgence of every description is opened wider and wider. Therefore it has become much easier for gays to come out and promote their own sexual agenda: And it has become much harder for us with our own selfish selves to deny them. The reason being, to deny the gay agenda is to condemn our own selfish, pleasure seeking conduct. Therefore we endorse homosexuality, thereby endorsing our own selfish, egotistical, narcissistic lifestyle choices. Down through history we can find nations that went through the same metamorphous concerning sexual matters that we face today. Some say when a nation begins to change its moral sexual standards, and sanctions unbridled sexual promiscuousness, this normally is an indication of the impending doom of that nation. Others disagree, they say the only way for a nation to survive and stay vibrant, it must accept diversity concerning sexual lifestyle choices.

As we have said not all gays fit into the same category, or takes the same approach to their homosexuality. On one hand some gays have gone so far as demanding that the Bible be listed as hate literature and banned. On the flip side we are witnessing an aggressive push in the direction of pro-gay theology. What this theology does is redefine the Bible as being pro-gay, and homosexuality as being God-ordained and morally permissible. The very talented and well known songwriter singer, musician and entertainer, Elton John, came out publicly and said that he believes that Christ was a homosexual. In the words of Elton John, "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems." With comments such as this, we as believers are placed in a position of having to decide where we stand on the issue of homosexuality. In this book we seek to give an honest Biblical perspective on this matter.
