Of all the creatures on earth, there is only one who is able to actually intellectually examine themselves inwardly, and comprehend their past, present, and future. That one creature is none other than you. God gave you the ability to be self-aware. This is an essence which is unique to you. You have marvelous mental faculties that no other form of life has. You have thought, perception, imagination, intuition and will. By divine design, God made you unique, because of your ability to understand the meaning of behavior and to know right from wrong. All other animals are instinctive, but you are unique, because God designed you to function by utilizing your intellect, emotions, and conscience (morality, or lack thereof) to control your behavior. Your creator has designed in you an ability to think and ponder which is truly amazing. You are actually able to read this page, and fully comprehend everything you have read so far, WOW!! (show this page to a dog and see if he understands). God took great pride in the fact that he had created a being LIKE YOU!!, who could think, reason, and deduce. In fact More than anything else God wants you to think. The reason why God wants you to think and ponder life's purpose, is because by his divine design you were created with the ability to ponder the reason for being. When you seriously ponder this matter, there are certain questions which will come to mind: Such as "where did I come from? Why am I here? What happens to me when I die?" Etc. It is not by accident that questions such as these will come to mind, when we seriously ponder life. These questions were purposely placed in you by the one who has the answers to these critical questions, God almighty. For all of us who are blessed to function in normal emotional and mental rationale, we have a certain degree of confidence in our abilities to reason, and comprehend. There are many inner mental images we have of ourselves and the areas where we feel that we have proficient intellect. These are the aspects of our mental powers to deduce, which assures us that our grasp on how things are, or how things should be, are intellectually accurate. In order to function in this present world, God has ordained that we must utilize certain cognitive skills. It is when we began to use our cognitive skills to overrule God's guidelines that a problem arises.
