In this book we will strive to understand why God gives up on trying to change certain people and simply leaves them to their own carnal ways. We will do so, in hopes of examining ourselves, least we in our stubbornness and arrogance, become part of this group.  On the day of judgment, when all is revealed, it will be shown that no one tried harder than God did, to save us, from his coming wrath. No one will be able to accuse God of not trying with all his might and power to save us, (THE CROSS IS PROOF OF THIS). No one tries harder than God to help instill the right mindset (of repentance, faith, and humility) in us. God uses many things in a loving attempt to draw us to himself. He has so much to offer to us, by way of  hope, deliverance, rest, peace, just to name a few.  This is all part of the salvation package.  Because God is a God of love, he really does care for us.  Therefore He seeks to reach out to us through his voice.  It is God's desire that none in any of us be lost and cast into the lake of fire. "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."2 Peter 3:9

  The Bible declares of God "2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God." Psalm 90:2.  God does not give up on being who he is, but he will allow us to remain who we are, if we continually ignore his voice. The Bible does warn us,  by both word and example, that there comes a time when God will give up on trying to call, convict, correct and change those in our society, who continually ignore his voice. We often hear the theme in our songs, "God is just one prayer away".  Yet God himself (the prayer answerer) shows us by example in his word, that there comes a time when a people can become so wicked, that he will reject all prayers made on their behalf.   Compare what he said in the book of Jeremiah,   "Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee".  Jer 7:2-16.  How could a people become so wicked in he sight of God, that he tells the prophet to not pray for them, and if he does pray for them, He (God) would not hear?  As we shall see, The Bible gives us examples of how a people, can so insult the grace of God and the call of God, that he eventually ceases in his attempt to change them. There does come a time, when after God has, called and called, and called , and we continually ignore him, he stops trying to call, convict and correct us.  It is my hope and prayer that you and I are spared this fate.
