THE BEAST RISING-- For students of biblical prophecy, the most anticipated end time events is the rise of the entity which is known as. “ the beast.”  “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, and all the world wondered after the beast.   And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life” Rev 13:1-9.  Along with the rise of the beast, will be the  total loosening of the powers of darkness, and the arrival on the world stage of the antichrist. In the book of Revelations the apostle John tells of the vision God showed him of two great beast.

One beast rises from the sea, and the other beast rises from the earth,  Rev 13.  describes these two beasts that will rise up and take power in the end times. The first beast, referred to in the Bible as the beast, is a political power that will rule over the earth in the end times. The second beast is the Antichrist.  We note that the first beast rises up out of the sea, Compare.

There has been much debate and speculation, in regards to who this beast is, and what receiving the mark of the beast entails.   While there’s room for debate in this area, the Bible makes it clear what the goal of the beast is.   The goal of this beast is to   #1. Exalt itself above God,   #2. To initiate disrespect, and disbelief  toward God on the highest level, and #3. To systematically attack and wear down the believers.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea,  Rev 13.   We note that a major aspect of the beast rising, is that it rises up out of the sea.   The scriptures clearly tell us, who and what the sea represents.

According to the Bible, the sea in this instance symbolizes and represents the sea of humanity.   This is what was explained to John in the book of revelations,  And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest,… , are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” Rev 17:15.

We are told that in the end times men will totally reject God.  Instead they will choose to place themselves above God.  As Paul tells us, "they will  worship the creature more than the creator"  Rom 1.  The end times will be a time when the prevailing attitudes of men will be, "“This is my life, I’ll live as I please.  This is my body,  I’ll do what I want with it,.  (Regardless of what you say in the Bible), I am going to do things my way."  (Are we there yet?).

The more these attitudes prevail, the more we give rise to the beast.  There several hot button issues, that Satan and the powers of darkness, are utilizing in an effort to manipulate the mass of humanity into rejecting God.   These are, 1. Humanism,  2.Feminism,  3. LGBTQ-ISM and 4. Racism

There is now a well coordination rebellion, when it comes to the Judeo-Christian values, that was once the bedrock on which our nation stood.  We are not calling these movements, “ The beast”  But much of the effort being exerted by these groups, is an all-out attack on Christianity.

We  will take a brief overview of these  movements, As we shall see throughout the rest of this book, much of the well established Judeo-Christian value system, has been great impacted by these items

HUMANISM?- The Happy Human is an icon and the official symbol of the International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU), a world body of Humanist organizations, and has been adopted by many Humanist organizations and individuals worldwide The religion of Humanism makes Man the measure of all things and puts him on the throne in the place of God.  Humanism in its purest form is idolatry.  It worships and serves the creature and the creation rather than the Creator.

Although the U.S. Constitution forbids the creation of a national establishment of religion, our government has adopted the religion of Secular Humanism.  It is this doctrine which is now more and more being used to  the govern the curriculum of our tax-funded public schools. Some humanists claim that secular humanism is a religion; other humanists claim that it isn’t.

However, In March 1987, U.S. District Judge W. Brevard Hand ruled that Secular Humanism was a religion. Indeed, Phyllis Schlafly, a graduate of Harvard Law School, wrote in 1980, Diane Dew tells us “Secular Humanism has become the established religion in the U.S. public school system.”

What has made the religion of humanism so appealing stems from the fact that it does not look like a religion in any form or fashion. It’s is not about some mystical god or devil or supreme being of any sort.  At first glance it simply seems to be all about us as human beings:

About our priorities, our agenda, our pleasure, our intellect, our dreams and aspirations, our own personal strengths.  This is what has made Satan’s end time conspiracy so undetectable, On the surface he has made it all about us, as he lurks and hides within our  personal desires.

It's hard not to notice, that in the time of crises, many are trying to encourage and comfort one another, based on human goodness, strength, and aspiration, minus God.   It is very heart warming to see we as human beings doing things of merit, giving of our time, talents and resources.   But it's sad to see that much of what is being done, purposely leaves, God, and our need for Him out of the equation.

The American Humanist Association, is one example of the efforts being put forth to forge a society, which stresses human strengths and merits, minus God,  Compare their mission statement.  “We strive to bring about a progressive society where being good without a god is an accepted and respected way to live life.

We are accomplishing this through our defense of civil liberties and secular governance, by our outreach to the growing number of people without traditional religious faith, and through a continued refinement and advancement of the humanist worldview. Humanism is a nontheistic worldview with ethical values informed by scientific knowledge and driven by a desire to meet the needs of people in the here and now.

At the foundation of those values is an affirmation of the dignity of every human being. The humanistic principles are that which is most being presented to kids in public schools.  These are concept, which purposely and aggressively omit all things godly.   These concepts are commonly known as the gospel of Humanism.

THIS IS MY LIFE!! THIS IS MY BODY!! THIS IS MY WAY!!  What makes this ancient religion so powerful stems from the fact, that the altar we bow down to, is an alter that we erect to our self.   Humanism- embraces human reason, ethics, and philosophical naturalism while specifically rejecting religious dogma, supernaturalism, pseudoscience, and superstition as the bases of morality and decision making. Secular humanism puts forth the idea that human beings are capable of being ethical and moral without religion or a god.

Matt Chandler, tells us,  “Because we humans are worshippers, we are rejoicers. It’s what we do. Every single person, whether religious or irreligious, actively worships. Down through the ages men have identified something bigger than themselves that they believe is worthy of their money, time, and the meditations of their hearts.

In many ways, they have offered themselves as sacrifices to that “something,” whatever it is. It comes naturally to them. Easily. Enjoyably.”   Amazingly outside of the realm of traditional worship, for many today the greatest object of their  worship today is self.

FEMINISM??  (WOMEN’S RIGHTS? verses RADICAL FEMINISM?)   Many are not able to distinguish the difference between the women’s rights movement, and the feminist movement. Normally when the issue of women rights comes up there is a tendency to lump all aspects into one general grouping.  In truth there are many different aspects of the women’s rights movement, along with many different motives and agendas at work.

In the case of women rights advocates,  this could be a woman who generally seek the fair and equitable treatment of women, when it comes to the work place, in the judicial system, and in regards to wages and salaries.  All fair minded individuals should readily accept the fact that women are of equal value to the man.

Many feminist view the Bible as being misogynistic and too constrictive.  There is no denying the fact, that some men have used the Bible verses which call for the man to be the head of the woman, to justify their position as a tyrant, abuser, and neglector or their true husbandly responsibilities

According to the Bible Both men and women were equally created in the image of God (Genesis 1:17). Both men and women are equally worthy of eternal salvation (Galatians 3:28). And both men and women are equally cared for by God as “heirs together of the grace of life” (I Peter 3:7). The Bible makes no distinction between men and women regarding their personal worth.

God’s Word clearly states that we are all equally His children and are of equal value and worth before Him.   When salvation takes place, we all become spiritual sons of God.  Thus when a husband and wife are both saved, Galatians 3:28 tells us, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28).

The teaching of the New Testament clearly shows that women are to be respected, revered, and treated as equals with men.  The Bible also makes it clear that the man and the woman though equal in value, do not have the same role assignments.

There are those who say that the Bible promotes misogyny (the hatred of women).   It’s claimed that the verses in the Bible, which  calls for the man to take on the responsibility of leader, is demeaning to women.  We site one such verse.   Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything.  Ephe 5.

If we read this entire chapter, we will find that God is not seeking to demean women,  He is calling for mutual love and respect on the part of both parties,  In fact God tells the husband he is to love his wife the way he loves himself. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for  her,  So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, Ephesians 5:22-30.

Sadly many women have bought into the lie that God does not want them to be successful.  As we shall see It was never God’s intent, n the giving of the guidelines for the male and female assigned roles and responsibilities, to demean the woman, whom He greatly loves.

Contrary to what some imply, it is not God’s will or intent  that a woman’s intellect, and creativity to be limited to the home. Is it His will that women  be successful, and that the expression of their intellect, abound in all areas of day to day life.   Does God hate women? As we shall see the answer is unequivocally no.

LGBTQ-ISM??? According to  Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr   “The spectacular success of the LGBTQ movement stands as one of the most fascinating phenomena of our time. In less than two decades, homosexuality has moved from “the love that dares not speak its name,” to the center of America’s public life. The LGBTQ agenda has advanced even more quickly than its most ardent proponents had expected.  It is now obvious that this support of the LGBT agenda has come from the highest echelons of our government.

From  the White House to highest courts in the land and even to the Vatican, the LBGT movement has become a powerful political juggernaut.   The rapid advancement of the LGBT movement and its acceptance by many in the public at large, is viewed by many to be a stunning success story.

In fact in most of our western countries, the  LGBT rights movement has become the a very powerful political force. This political juggernaut has been empowered by many governments to execute their agenda anyway, anytime, anywhere as they so choose.

The term  “LGBTQ”   is a fairly new term.  It has been in use since the 1990s (with the Q being added later).  One of the reason why the acronym began to be widely used was because,  activists believed that the term gay community did not accurately represent all those to whom it referred.

The  acronym “LGBTQ” has become mainstream as a self-designation, for the various individuals whose sexual orientation and lifestyle veers of the heterosexual course, It has been adopted by the majority of sexuality and gender identity-based community centers and media in the western world.

It is now a very common sight to see different expressions of the LGBTQ lifestyle prominently displayed on magazine covers, and being promoted TV and at the movies.  In fact we can now see these images displayed on the book shelves of our local grocery and drug store counter.  Yet most people are not that familiar with what the acronym, “LGBTQ” stands for.

Up until recently the public persona  for the LGBT  movement  was mainly about loving committed relationships.

But with the addition of the alphabet “Q”  to the LGBT acronym. The true face o of LGBTQ-SM is much clearer. While  the image  of a loving committed couple is the image that  many gay rights activist  in times past, would have the public to embrace, this is no longer the case.  Today more and more individuals who label themselves as LGBTQ,  refuse to fit into this mold.

The matter of Racism-  According to https://www.ucg.org/,  “When we investigate what the Bible actually says, the clear message from cover to cover is that God loves all people and is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9, emphasis added throughout).

Part of the cultural backdrop of the early New Testament Church was the false idea that God favored the Jews more than all other nations or races of people. For this reason, there are numerous clear statements in the New Testament dispelling the notion that a person’s ethnicity or nationality impacted their salvation.

Peter was specially commissioned by God to teach the truth that
“God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him” (Acts 10:34-35). The apostle Paul also combated racism in his writings. Perhaps his most famous and poignant teaching on the matter is Galatians 3:28, which says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

In light of such powerfully inclusive teachings, there is certainly no basis in the New Testament for racism, but what about the Old Testament? Despite how certain passages have been misconstrued and abused, there is not a single scripture that promotes racism in the Old Testament. Instead, we find that God has always regarded people by one standard only: whether they love and obey Him.

This was echoed in Acts 10:34-35 above, but is actually found as far back as the Ten Commandments, where God Himself said, “I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments” (Exodus 20:5-6).

Even from the very earliest interaction between God and Israel, namely the Passover just before the Exodus, God included a provision for non-Israelites to become a part of His people if they would obey His law (Exodus 12:48-49).

Within the nation of ancient Israel, God made dozens of provisions in the law to protect, care for and respect foreigners living in the land, and to allow them to participate in worship of Him at the Tabernacle (see Exodus 20:10Exodus 22:21Leviticus 19:10Leviticus 19:33-34Leviticus 24:22Leviticus 25:6Numbers 15:15, and many more!).There are numerous occasions in the Bible where God did pronounce judgment and punishment against a nation or group of people; however, this was always based on their actions, never their race.

In the turbulent times that we now live in we stress the importance of keeping in mind the central theme of the gospel, which is the fact that God's love extends to us ALL.   Our key message is a message that proclaims the fact, that  according to John 3:16-17,  ALL lives matter to God.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”   Jn 3:16-17.

As we noted earlier,  The Bible clearly tells us that there is coming a time when the end time beast will rise.  We are told that that this will be a time of great persecution for the believers.  A very common teaching today,  is that believers who are in a right standing with God, will be raptured from the earth just prior to the start of this tribulation.   Other disagree, they say that the believers will go through this time of great tribulation.  Now this poses a very critical question for the believers.

Should we be preparing to be caught away and any moment, or should we be arming ourselves with a mind to endure.  It now appears by all indications, that the beast is now being given rise, and we as believers are still here.    One of the clearest examples of the fact that this end time persecution has began, is the fate of those who openly disagree with the LGBTQ lifestyle,  CLICK ON THE BOOK COVER BELOW TO GO TO THE NEXT PORTION
